Admissions Proposal Guidelines

Any changes to admission requirements must be approved by Senate. Only after Senate approval can the applicable Academic Calendar pages be changed.

Admission requirement changes are to be made on a two-columned proposal form (see below). These completed proposal forms must first be approved by the proposing faculty, using the appropriate Faculty-level procedures. Proposals without approval will not be considered.

Consultations

Undergraduate: Consultation is required with Undergraduate Admissions before submitting to the Senate Secretariat. Use the consultation form below.

Graduate: Consultation is required with the College of Graduate Studies before submitting to the Senate Secretariat. Use the consultation form below.

Submission Deadlines

All proposals and corresponding consultations must be submitted by the proposal submission deadlines. All proposals are to be emailed to okanagan.senate@ubc.ca. Paper copies are not required.

  • Use to propose admissions changes. This version was approved 22 September 2014.

Admissions Consultation Form

  • Use to consult with Undergraduate Admissions, College of Graduate Studies, and Faculties that may have an interest in or be affected by the proposed admission changes. This version was approved 22 September 2014.

Note: These forms are similar to the Curriculum Proposal and Consultation Form but adjusted for Admissions. See the document’s footer to ensure the correct version is used.
